7. Man, I have seen this sort of thing way too many times. The capitalization of every word.. the apostrophes strewn about whenever a word ends in ‘s’.. it’s saddening.

8. Ahh! This is just painful! I find signs like this difficult to read. I lose focus before getting to the end of the sentence.

29. Ha! I work with some highly skilled toolmakers who do amazing things every day. However, spelling and grammar are not among their skills. Whenever they have to write something or have a discussion about words, I’m the go-to-guy.
    Haven’t figured out why I am good at this though.

33. I’m very much enjoying your blog! This post in particular makes me cringe–incorrect plurals drive me crazy! I’m working on a series addressing irregular plural nouns on my own blog, talking about where they’ve come from and why we use the crazy plurals we do. And the Capitalize Every Word IS annoying! Thanks for the hours of potential entertainment and I’m looking forward to reading plenty more grammar fails.

34. I just found your blog and plan to become a regular reader. I had gone to a gardening url and had read about how a poster planned to “plant up” seedlings. Plant up, swap out, switch up, and all of those other irksome expressions are taking over the world. I shall enjoy reading the musings of someone who cares about the language.

35. The other classic is when writers are using abbreviations, which for some reason they think need an apostrophe. So you get classics like C.D.’s and L.P.’s.

36. Quite informative but entertaining at the same time. A few days back, I read a sign, posted outside an institution for continued education program for teachers. It informed the public ” Teacher’s Trainings Institution” I will be rather wary of the teachers getting their education refreshed at the place.
